Press Brake Operator

FedTech Inc., a manufacturing job shop, has an immediate opening for a Press Brake Technician. Accurately and efficiently performs Forming jobs by understanding the part drawing, or job instructions, forming the parts and performing inspections. independently executes all setups and has a complete understanding of the machine control and can perform basic programming. . Prior work experience with forklift operation and knowledge of manufacturing materials is a plus. Lifting of 50+ lbs and pre-employment drug screen required. 1st shift hours are Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:30pm.
2nd shift hours are Monday - Thursday; 2:25pm - 1:00am.

Responsibilities
  • Make parts that conform to the drawing specifications by performing setups, operating and adjusting Bystronic Press Brake machines and their controls.
  • Read and understand blue prints.
  • Meets or exceeds job time standards as much as possible
  • Troubleshoots problems with the machine control and part programs
  • Attention to detail
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Have the ability to multitask and help other team members
  • Loading and unloading material onto the machines, verify materials meet required specifications and make equipment adjustments as necessary.

Entry Level Manufacturing / General Shop Help Positions

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

FedTech Inc., a manufacturing job shop, has an immediate opening for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Forklift operation and knowledge of Shipping and Receiving operations a plus. Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving Operations and Forklift certification is a plus! Shipping / Receiving hours are Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 4:30pm, actual working hours to be determined

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Packaging and palletizing packages that are to be shipped
  • Working with UPS, FedEx, couriers and freight companies to ship product
  • Obtain quotes for shipments via courier and freight
  • Work with customers and vendors on day to day operations
  • Receiving in all shipments from trucks
  • Loads all products prior to shipping
  • Verifies all paperwork is complete and filed correctly
  • Keeps Plate and customer materials in order
  • Maintains cleanliness of warehouse area
  • Arranges for disposal of waste
  • Running errands as necessary
  • Making pickups and deliveries as necessary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform daily first article, in process, and final inspections of manufactured product utilizing calipers, gages, CMM and other measuring equipment
  • Maintain documentation of first article inspections and inspection history of completed jobs
  • Assist in creating inspection procedures
  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials.
  • Read and interpret complex design and fabrication plans/blueprints and specifications.
  • Maintain inspection documentation and customer records/requirements
  • PPAPs, FMEA, FAIs etc

Maintenance Technician

Fedtech Incorporated is seeking a direct hire Maintenance Technician in the Mounds View area. The Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain machinery, mechanical equipment, and facilities. In addition to production support, this position supports manufacturing engineering and includes a limited amount of tooling and new machine assembly. Required:

  • High School Diploma. Vocational/technical degree in a manufacturing discipline preferred.
  • Experience is helpful in a manufacturing/maintenance technician environment.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance tracking systems and Microsoft Products
  • Mechanically inclined

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance projects. Ensure equipment PM’s are tracked and completed per schedule.
  • Set up, maintain and repair equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Plan and implement facilities improvement projects and coordinates internal resources with outside vendors when appropriate.
  • Effectively maintain and troubleshoot new and existing plant equipment while working with pneumatic, hydraulics, PLC’s, and other electrical components.
  • Perform plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work as needed.
  • Specify repair parts and replace as needed.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Document, as required, procedures and instructions, in compliance with TS requirements.
  • Use maintenance support systems plan, track, and evaluate work.
