Waterjet Cut Poron Cellular Squares

These tiny little blocks may look intimidating but they are actually soft and porous! When the project came in, it was set to be water-only waterjet cut from .500" thick poron cellular material. By using water-only waterjet cutting, there is no abrasive that gets caught in the material, keeping the material clean and pure.

The small blocks themselves will be used as support mag head dampers. If you look closely, you'll see that the center of the blocks has a small hole. Every center plug (from all 510 blocks) was removed for the end customer.
