Waterjet cutting is gaining popularity as a means for no heat cutting a wide variety of materials. Ease of programming and the waterjet’s ability to cut almost any material of any thickness, makes it suitable for all shape cutting applications (except extremely hard materials such as carbide). Waterjet's most significant attribute is its accurate cold cutting process allowing it to cut metals without leaving a heat-affected zone (HAZ).

There are many applications where abrasive waterjet technology is the superior cutting method. Although waterjet should be considered for all applications, it will not replace conventional cutting methods such as stamping, laser or plasma cutting. It will continue to experience increasing use for cutting a wide variety of specialty materials.

Our waterjet cutting process uses water compressed up to 60,000 psi as a powerful and precise cutting tool. The jet stream generated by this waterjet cutting is capable of cutting material from .001 thick up to 12 inches thick.

The abrasive waterjet can pierce or drill holes as small as .030" in diameter (0.004" for water jet without abrasive). Fedtech's state-of-the art waterjet cutting capabilities are unmatched for our precision and cost-effective operation.
