Water-Only Waterjet Cuts Teflon
 Numerous projects involve processing thin or soft materials and these projects are often out of place on the abrasive waterjet table. In these cases, it is nice to have the option of water-only cutting. This process leaves the parts much cleaner, as there is no abrasive to stick to the soft material. It is also good for fine detail cutting, as well as on thin materials since water-only has a smaller stream diameter (.006”) than abrasive waterjet cutting (.030”).
In the case of this project, it was nice to have the capability to process the Teflon (also known as polytetrafluoroethylene) with water-only waterjet to keep the soft, white material clean and to deliver exceptionally precise cuts.
