Armor 400 Steel Gaskets
The pieces seen here are actually parts that were waterjet cut for one of our customers. They will be used as head gaskets for the company who designed them.
The material used in this project was .062” AR 400 (armor steel) which is made to withstand great amounts of pressure and wear. The steel has boron, manganese, nickel and chromium added to it to make it more wear resistant and able to endure extreme heat up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. The material is also often used for exhaust gaskets.
