 1" Acetal Wheel Conveyer Pieces
In this project, we processed 1” thick acetal, a thermoplastic material, which is the strongest and hardest of all thermoplastics. The material is often chosen because it lasts a long time, and is not very sensitive to water or moisture. It also has a high resistence to chemicals, which is beneficial in industrial/mechanical production.
In this project, the finished product was to be used as a wheel conveyer under a belt to act much like a roller. The material gets drilled, tapped, and turned after it is sent off to shipping for the customer.
The benefit of using Fedtech for this project, was that the customer received all of their parts in less than a week, the turnaround was so quick. They then used our finished pieces to help him better their business, ultimately making it more productive.
